Forster campaigns to combat poverty

Supporting international development

The world is wealthier today than it has ever been.  Yet around one-sixth of the global population - more than 1 billion people - survive on less than a dollar a day.

Sustaining the pressure to end poverty has never been more urgent.  Forster works with charities, NGOs and companies to increase the reach and impact of campaigns to give people in developing countries a decent income, food, healthcare, education and other basic rights.

  • We worked with ActionAid to develop the brand and strategy for their global HungerFREE campaign.
  • We helped WaterAid to redefine and reposition their brand, focusing on access to safe water as an essential step in overcoming poverty
  • We enabled Standard Chartered to involve their 44,000 employees around the world in community involvement programmes on HIV and blindness, helping to restore the sight of 1 million people in developing countries
  • We’ve worked with the Fairtrade Foundation for the past four years, helping them to sustain profile and to increase sales of Fairtrade products to the value of £493 million in 2007.  70% of people in the UK now recognise the Fairtrade mark, up from 50% when we began working with the Fairtrade Foundation in 2005
