Flu immunisation targets younger 'at risk' audience
This week saw the launch of the Department of Health's annual Flu Immunisation campaign.
Forster has run the campaign for the last four years, aiming to increase the number of vulnerable people who take the flu inoculation. Last year, 74% of over 65’s took action to get protected.
This year, the Government is particularly urging those who are at-risk under the age of 65 to take advantage of the free jab available.
There are over four million younger people at risk including those with serious heart or chest complaints, kidney or liver disease, diabetes and those with lowered immunity .
To help promote uptake amongst younger ‘at risk’ audiences, new partnerships have been developed with leading charities including the British Heart Foundation, Asthma UK, Diabetes UK, the Stroke Association and the British Liver Trust.
