Focusing on health equality with NICE

patient being treated

Forster has been appointed by NICE – the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence – to carry out a series of training workshops to raise awareness of equalities issues, rights and responsibilities among their staff.

As the national body for providing guidance on promoting good health and preventing and treating ill health, it’s crucial that NICE staff understand the implications of factors such as sex, race and disability on experiences of health conditions and access to health care.

Forster will deliver training to around 100 staff, aiming to bring equality into the heart of NICE’s guidance process, ensuring staff are motivated and engaged to support legislative processes at a practical level.

This work supports not only Forster’s extensive experience in the equality and health sectors, but also hones in on one of our newer service areas, building capacity for our clients through practical and participatory training.
