Forster grows links with local health services

London has the lowest rate of breast screening uptake in the country - according to new figures by the London Assembly.

Forster has recently won a competitive tender to work with Tower Hamlets PCT in researching and developing a social marketing intervention to tackle the problem in that borough.

The initiative aims to raise awareness of the issue and increase uptake of breast screening among older women (50 -70 years) from the Bangladeshi and white communities.

This is the first time that Forster has worked with health services in Tower Hamlets but the consultancy has run successful social marketing initiatives in other London boroughs, such as a recent campaign to increase the number of blood pressure checks in white middle aged men in Lambeth and Southwark.
