Forster helps to launch campaign to improve nursery food

Organix and Soil Association launch their report

On October 22nd, Forster oversaw the launch of the Better Nursery Food Now campaign, a joint initiative between Organix and the Soil Association to raise awareness of the complete lack of standards when it comes to the food served to toddlers and very young children in nurseries across the country. Unlike in primary and secondary schools, there are no statutory guidelines and many nurseries are giving very young children food that is high in fat, sugar and additives. The campaign is calling on government to put in place nutritional standards that will cover all nurseries, guaranteeing better food in nurseries now.

Forster was briefed to develop a media strategy for the launch, to gain widespread broadcast and national newspaper news coverage, and to bring the campaign to life through a photo-call focussing on the key messages for the campaign.  This led to the unveiling of a mobile billboard in central London earlier today.

So far the campaign launch has been covered in the Guardian, Telegraph, Daily Express, Daily Mail and BBC Online, with broadcast coverage including ITV News, Five News, IRN, Sky News Radio.
