Forster to help nation wake up to organic

The Soil Association has chosen Forster to establish its annual Organic Fortnight as a key national calendar event.

Organic Fortnight, now in its third year, is a campaign to raise awareness of the benefits of organic food and farming, and encourage trial of organic products in order to inspire a more long-term switch from consumers.

This year’s theme is ‘Wake up to an Organic Breakfast’ and during the fortnight everyone from large retailers to small businesses, farm shops and farmers markets, delis to restaurants will be hosting breakfasts, tastings, talks and much, much more.

The Organic Food Festival in Bristol on 1-2 September, the largest of its kind in Europe, kicks off events.

Forster won a three-way pitch to lead a high-profile consumer PR campaign and will work with the Soil Association’s in-house PR team to really ramp up consumer awareness of the benefits of organic food and farming and raise the positive profile of the Soil Association as a motivating membership organisation.

This year’s campaign will run from 1-16 September 2007 and focus on the health and environmental benefits of eating organic food.
