Forster to promote VSO's 50th anniversary
Forster has been appointed by VSO, the international development charity, to promote their 50th anniversary, which takes place this year.
VSO was founded in 1958, when the first VSO volunteers left the UK to give a year's voluntary service in developing countries.
Forster’s campaign will be using the charity’s 50th birthday to inspire and encourage people to volunteer with VSO and engage new and lapsed supporters with the charity’s work.
The campaign will also aim to tackle misconceptions about the nature of VSO’s volunteering work – which is often seen as targeting young people on gap years – and underline VSO’s real aim: to encourage experienced professionals to undertake a serious commitment to volunteering and improving life skills in poorer and developing communities.
Leading the project will be social campaign communications expert Ben Jackson, who has just joined Forster’s 40-strong team.
