After being named Britain’s Healthiest Workplace, an award developed by VitalityHealth and delivered in partnership with the University of Cambridge, RAND Europe and Mercer, we recently joined GlaxoSmithKline and Phoenix Group to share our experience of taking part in the study. From innovative cycling policies to training our line managers on mental health, we know that employee wellbeing is key for recruitment, retention, creativity and productivity. The link below takes to you a live recording of the webcast.

The awards, which launched in 2013, are based on the UK’s largest and most comprehensive workplace wellness study. Since inception, over 400 organisations and nearly 100,000 individuals have taken part, across a wide range of industries, regions and demographic groups. This year, 160 organisations and more than 34,000 individual participants took part.

As one of the largest studies of wellness in the UK, Britain’s Healthiest Workplace aims to help the UK’s workers assess just how healthy they really are. The study uses both an employer and employee survey to provide a top-down and bottom-up view of employee health and wellbeing, as well as organisational culture and approaches to managing the health of employees. It is the first study in the UK to seek to understand the impact of lifestyle factors and the workplace environment on employee health and productivity outcomes, at both an individual and an organisational level, and to track these over time.

If you have any questions, or would like to find out more about how we can help you improve the health and wellbeing of your team then please get in touch.
