Webinar: What’s next for community engagement?

By Amanda Powell-Smith

2 March 2016

While business leaders and the public agree that employment should be the number one social issue for businesses to support, their opinions vary dramatically over wider social issues.

The public, and particularly young people, want greater business involvement in solving tough topics, such as homelessness, mental health and loneliness, but the majority of business leaders disagree.

What does this mean for community engagement programmes and how should corporate-charity partnerships evolve to meet public and wider opinion former expectations?

Watch a live recording of the webinar  Amanda Powell-Smith and Peter Gilheany gave at Business in the Community. They presented a synopsis of our Business to Society research which was conducted with business leaders, charity leaders and the public, and highlighted key challenges and implications for CSR and community programme managers.
